On July 14, 2021, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, visited Tolna in connection with FASTRON Hungária Kft.’s participation in the Hungarian Government’s Competitiveness Enhancement Program.

The initiative was designed to support companies that continued to invest in their future despite the challenging economic environment created by the global pandemic. Through the program, FASTRON committed to a €1.6 million investment project, supported by government funding covering 50% of the total investment value.

The development program included the acquisition of new production equipment, the introduction of innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the preservation of 217 jobs, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to growth and stability.

During the accompanying press conference, Managing Director Krisztián Kovács reflected on the extraordinary challenges faced in 2020. While the company had entered the year with ambitious plans, the pandemic created unprecedented circumstances that required new approaches, flexibility, and rapid adaptation. He emphasized that the government’s timely support provided an important foundation for maintaining stability and continuing planned developments during a period of significant uncertainty.

The investment project not only strengthened FASTRON’s competitiveness but also demonstrated the company’s confidence in the future and its determination to emerge from a challenging period stronger and better prepared for the opportunities ahead.
